I think it’s funny how we can look at baby pictures of someone and instantly recognize them, maybe even claim that they haven’t changed at all, but when we’re little it’s nearly impossible for us to even imagine what we will look like in twenty years. Even when I was 14, I couldn’t have pictured myself now, and only 5 years have passed. It’s as if one minute of the future outweighs years of the past and present…
But mostly I just love this picture because it’s adorable and he looks exactly like this when he’s perplexed

I have dark hair again. That is all.
I have plans for dip dying my hair when it gets long again. The only problem is that I have to wait for it to get long again..

This weekend…
My life.
New Years Resolutions, in no particular order:
1) Respond to emails promptly (within 24 hours of reading them)
2) Maintain straight A’s in all 6 of my classes this semester
3) Effectively track and manage my finances
4) Get my driver’s license
5) Make new friends, strengthen ties with new-ish friends, and reconnect with old ones
6) Never ever hurt my boyfriend if I can help it
7) Drink more water
8) Use all of the meals from my meal plan
9) Do not lose my key (I suppose locking myself out is acceptable, or it will have to be because I’m locked out right now)
10) Establish an extracurricular project that has staying power
11) Decide what I want to do with my life?!?!?!
12) Read books for pleasure
13) Be less awkward, as a general rule.
It’s a pun. Crystal Violet is the primary stain used in gram staining to differentiate between gram positive and negative bacteria. Since my name is Violette and I used to be really into science I thought it would be a cute username, haha. Too bad I’m the only one who thinks that it’s clever…
Icaro Doria, a Brazilian man, working for a magazine in Portugal started this campaign using real data from the UN and flag images, he’s created whats known as Meet the World. The colors within the flags from its respective country are used to represent current, geographical relevant issues. Take a look.
