Things that I can't do
1) Leave un-awkward voicemail messages.
2) Ride a bike.
3) Do mental math.
4) Take risks.
5) Concentrate on what I’m supposed to be doing right now.

Somewhere someone thinks they love someone else exactly like I love you. Somewhere someone shakes from the ripple of a thousand butterflies inside a single stomach. Somewhere someone is packing their bags to see the world with someone else. Somewhere someone is reaching through the most …

Who are we? What are we doing here? Where are we...
I’m tired and confused today. I don’t know where you stand. And lately I don’t really know where I stand either. It’s almost liberating, except that I am still trying to figure out what’s going on and what I should do about it.
I guess this is more than I need to share with everyone, but what good are thoughts if no one ever hears them anyway? So tell me, how does it...

Superfluous
I feel like the more I use my journal, the less meaningful each of my tumblr posts becomes. While I’m glad that I can channel a lot more of my angsty, low-self-esteem, ranty ideas into a more private venue, I also feel like I’m just sharing less with the world in general. I’m still trying to decide whether or not that’s a good thing. I do enjoy the idea of tumblr being a...
Mean, median, mode
I’m fundamentally a pretty big fan of the average- Aristotle’s Nichomachaean Ethics and all that. Temperance, compromise, and balance are usually qualities that I admire. It’s hard to argue against the mild.
But at the same time, sometimes the average just will not do. Sometimes it’s got to be all or nothing. I don’t want to hear that background hum: I want to blast...

some classic quotes attributed to men were actually said by women.

It kinda creeps me out
When people say that they like the smell of someone, or when they say that someone’s clothes smell like them.
It also makes me feel really self-conscious.
What if I smell weird???

I don’t think I’ll feel like this… single isn’t a bad thing… but you can’t NOT reblog this

Success and homework
If someone is able to grasp course material easily and perform well on graded assignments (tests, quizzes) without doing their assigned homework, should they still be required to do it?

Is it just me
or do Governor’s School kids need to get over themselves and move on with their lives?!?!
Sure, it was fun and all, but going to Governor’s School does NOT make you superior to everyone else, and if you spend every day reminiscing about those 6 weeks, then it’s your own fault that you aren’t finding fulfilling things to do with your life.
I meant to type GDP
but it came out as GPA. And when I look for files on my computer, I still automatically click on my College folder. Is that bad?
Things I've learned recently:
1) Getting bangs made me realize how small my forehead is
2) I would not last a MINUTE in the ghetto
*3) Also, watch what you say, cause frequently words will get you in trouble.
UGH.
Things I dislike:
When I remind people nicely to do their job for months, and still end up doing their job (which isn’t even that difficult) for them because it just needs to get done and they simply refuse to do it. I’m sorry if I’m pestering you about it but you signed up for this job, and it’s actually a pain for me to keep reminding you all the time anyway.

In my country, we’re not supposed to have our legislators shot. We’re not supposed to have their offices vandalized. We’re supposed to be a beacon of hope.
And other politicians aren’t supposed to “target” them with crosshairs, use violent rhetoric, and then escape the responsibility…

Funny as it is, I never truly believed that art could inspire people, or lift them up. Or I found it very hard to. But sometimes life can prove you wrong.

Admittedly dumb ideas of mine that have worked:
1) Toasting tortillas in a toaster

Since when did not returning someone’s feelings become a crime??
This song just creeps me out. That level of obsession is not healthy, and I commend that “mad woman, bad woman” from getting the hell out of that relationship.
Anonymous asked: You know why I ask anonymous questions? It's like my way of getting published. It's my way of making my friends (sorry you are not the only one anymore) be surprised every once in a while even if it's some silly comment or question. Plus it's just fun to mess with you.

but, let’s face it - we’re just a bunch of kids who have yet to see ANYTHING.
Maybe what we post isn’t always the most original, but it is not without merit. Sure, we have much more to see, but we’ve all lived out 16, 17, 18 years and I think that’s really something. In these 16, 17, and 18 years we have done a lot, seen a lot, felt a lot. The stories we tell...
