I just want to know that all of this hard work will be worth it one day.
Sometimes I feel like nothing I do now carries any significance for anyone in the world but sometimes I step back and realize that by educating myself now, I’m better equipping myself to hep other people later, and while that is hard to see on a day to day basis, it’s true. It’s such a rewarding feeling when I can apply what I learned in class to helping other people articulate their ideas when I volunteer at high school writing centers, and so great when you can connect the curriculum that you learn about in class to other classes and larger issues.
It’s tiring, and it’s midterm season, and I’m exhausted by the end of each week, but it will pay off :)
